The Sycamore Presbyterian Church Endowment was established in 2007 to allow members and friends of SPC the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy to the church in support of its goals and purposes.
Just as annual stewardship giving is a chance to return to God a portion of our annual income, contributions to the endowment provide a means to share the accumulated gifts which God provides us as a long-term support for the church's ministry.
The SPC Endowment Committee encourages gifts from wills, trusts, and bequests and invests such gifts so as to preserve and grow the fund principal, using the earnings prudently for designated purposes.
The Endowment Fund consists of three sub-funds: General, Mission and Scholarship. Each fund is designed to meet the special purposes of the intended gift.
Your tax-deductible donation to the Endowment Fund is your gift that keeps on giving. Your gift to the Fund lasts in perpetuity. An endowment fund grows through gifts of cash, securities, real estate, life insurance policies, life income trusts and bequests.
The Endowment Funds are professionally invested and managed. The Endowment Committee has adopted an investment policy that allows the Church to use earnings from the Fund to support many forms of outreach and causes, as well as major capital improvements. The investment policy of the Fund is designed to provide real growth and protection from inflation. Your initial gift to the Endowment Fund is permanent and will support our missions and fuel the future of the Church in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
